His Excellency Mohammed Ali Al-Mannai, President of the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) welcomed today at CRA’s headquarters a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by H.E. Mr. Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, Minister of Information and Communications Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and with the attendance of H.E. Mr. Hamid Reza Dehghani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State of Qatar and concerned officials from CRA.
The meeting included discussions of several topics of common interest in the fields of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and post, in addition to ways of framing the future cooperation. Moreover, CRA delivered a presentation about the ICT and postal sectors in the State of Qatar, and from their side, the Iranian delegation presented the experience of the ICT sector in the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and the sector's role in mitigating the damage of the pandemic, especially in the education and health sectors.
