ictQATAR's Regulatory Authority issued a Class License for Camel Racing Equipment, which streamlines the approval process for use, operation and installation of the equipment.
This is the second Class License issued by ictQATAR, with additional Class Licenses pertaining to telecoms equipment and services to be issued by in the near future.

This Class License enables any person to possess, use, operate and/or install the Camel Racing Equipment without that person having to apply for the Class License provided that the Licensee complies with the terms and conditions of the Class License, operates the device within the authorized frequency bands and ensures that the Camel Racing Equipment are type approved by ictQATAR. Under this Class License, there are no license or spectrum fees.
The Type Approved Camel Racing Equipment are restricted to hand devices with low frequency transmission power used by the camel owners and ear pieces installed on the camels in order to enable one way communications to control the speed of the camel and its movement throughout the various stages of the race.
Any person or entity wishing to import the Camel Racing Equipment for commercial purposes and/or sell them in Qatar will still need to obtain Type Approval from ictQATAR along with the approval for dealing in telecommunications equipment.
