Registering a domain name under .qa, .com.qa, .net.qa, .name.qa and قطر. has been made easy through Qatar Domains Registry. Most domain names can be registered through one of our accredited registrars. To register a domain name, please follow the below steps:

1. Search to see if the name you would like is available using Find Your Domain tool.
2. If the name is already not available, enter a new name and search again till you find an available domain.
3. If the name is available, choose from one of the approved registrars to secure your domain.

How to register a domain name for a governmental, educational, not-for-profit and military institution (.gov.qa, .mil.qa, .edu.qa, .sch.qa,  and  .org.qa) ?

1. Search to see if the name you would like is available using Find Your Domain.
2. If the name is already not available, enter a new name and search again till you find an available domain.
3. If the name is available, send your domain name request to Qatar Domains Registry at Communications Regulatory Authority  with the necessary supporting documents.

The following are the supporting documents that need to be submitted:

• Certificate of Incorporation (for org.qa, sch.qa and edu.qa extensions).
• A letter duly signed by the relevant government authority (for gov.qa and mil.qa extensions).
